With views of Fort Boyard and close to Île Madame and Île d'Aix, Port des Barques is a small fishing port on the left bank of the Charente River, ready to welcome you for your vacation.
The climate is pleasant and mild, with nearly 2,600 hours of sunshine each year. Enjoy a stay that combines peace and local attractions. In addition to its calm atmosphere, you will find all the essential shops and services to meet the needs of both locals and the many summer visitors. Port des Barques is part of the Marennes-Oléron basin, which produces much of France’s oysters and benefits from exceptional water quality for shellfish farming.
Shore fishing is possible here. The town also has an interesting history and is located in a culturally rich region: Brouage, Rochefort, Saintes, and La Rochelle are nearby. Bed linen and towels are not included in your booking but can be requested as an option.
Final cleaning is the guest’s responsibility, or can be requested for an extra fee.
