Within sight of Fort Boyard, near Île Madame and Île d'Aix, Port-des-Barques, a small fishing port on the left bank of the Charente River, welcomes you for your holiday.
The climate is pleasant and mild, with generous sunshine throughout the year. A stay combining tranquillity and local attractions. Alongside its peace and quiet, the village offers all the essential shops and services to meet the needs of both local residents and the many holidaymakers who visit during the summer season. Port-des-Barques is part of the Marennes-Oléron basin, which produces a large proportion of the oysters consumed in France.
Its exceptionally high-quality waters are ideal for shellfish farming, and gathering shellfish at low tide is also possible. Port-des-Barques also has a fascinating history and is set in a culturally rich region, with places such as Brouage, Rochefort, Saintes and La Rochelle. Bed linen and towels are not included in your booking but are available as an option on request.
Guests are responsible for end-of-stay cleaning, which can also be arranged for an additional fee.
