The accommodation is located on the ground floor with a private entrance that opens onto a quiet and characteristic street of the neighborhood.
The space, originally dating back to the 19th century or perhaps even earlier, as the neighborhood was founded in the 16th century, may have once been a workshop or warehouse.
It was completely renovated in 2024 to make it functional and equipped with modern systems and comforts, such as new windows, air conditioning, and heating.
There are three beds available: two in the double bedroom and one in the living room thanks to a comfortable sofa bed.
The internal layout dates back to the second half of the 20th century, but the foundations and perimeter walls of the building are certainly older.
As in many other accommodations in the historic center, the innermost part, where the bathroom and bedroom are located, faces an inner courtyard, while the window of the front area, now the living room-kitchen, faces the street.
For this reason, the rear part of the accommodation, namely the bathroom and bedroom, does not receive natural light, but ventilation is still adequate.
In the innermost area, built into the side of the Castello hill, where restoration works have uncovered an ancient brick wall with an arch dating back at least to the 19th century (now hidden by a modern wall), there may be a slight increase in humidity; for this reason, a dehumidifier is available.
The restoration has ensured the flooring and walls are dry, also thanks to the creation of a ventilated void under the floor.
The thick stone walls make the accommodation comfortable in winter and cool in summer.
