Linnéagården – Spacious Swedish Country House with Sauna in Småland
Welcome to Linnéagården, a beautiful traditional white country house near Strömsnäsbruk in southwestern Småland.
This spacious holiday home combines classic Swedish country-house charm with high-quality modern amenities and offers plenty of room for a relaxing holiday with family or friends. The house was renovated in 2024 and offers around 182 m² of living space for up to ten guests.
There are five bedrooms in total.
One bedroom features a large 180 × 200 cm double bed, while two further bedrooms each have a 160 × 200 cm double bed. The fourth bedroom has a bunk bed with sleeping space for three children, and the fifth bedroom is equipped with a 100 × 200 cm single bed. At the heart of the house is the spacious living area with a large and comfortable sofa corner.
There is plenty of room for everyone to relax together after a day exploring Småland.
A Smart TV and fast fibre-optic internet provide additional comfort.
The large dining table offers enough space for the whole group to enjoy breakfast, dinner or a relaxed games evening together. One of the most charming features of Linnéagården is the large conservatory.
It is a wonderful place to enjoy the surrounding nature while staying sheltered, even when the Swedish weather is changeable. The modern and fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for convenient self-catering.
In addition to a dishwasher and extensive kitchen equipment, both a filter coffee machine and a Nespresso machine are available.
A washing machine and dryer make the house particularly practical for longer stays. For relaxation, Linnéagården has its own private sauna.
The house features a bathroom with shower and bathtub as well as an additional toilet.
There is also another shower in the sauna area in the basement – especially convenient when travelling with a larger group. Another highlight is the exceptionally spacious property.
Around 9,000 m² of garden and natural surroundings offer plenty of room for children to play and adults to relax.
Garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue provide the perfect setting for long summer days and evenings outdoors. A SUP board is also available for trips on the water.
A lake with a pleasant swimming area and fishing opportunities is located approximately five kilometres from the house. The area around Strömsnäsbruk offers plenty of opportunities for an active and varied holiday.
Southwestern Småland is characterised by forests, lakes and beautiful countryside and is ideal for hiking, cycling, fishing and paddling. A particularly enjoyable family attraction is Smålandet Markaryds Älgsafari, where you can see moose and bison up close.
During the summer, Strömsnäsbruk also offers the unusual experience of riding a rail trolley along a former railway line through the countryside. Further destinations can be found around Markaryd and Traryd. Älmhult, the home of IKEA, is also an interesting day trip and is home to the IKEA Museum.
Thanks to its location in southwestern Småland, Linnéagården is also a convenient base for exploring different parts of southern Sweden. Linnéagården is a non-smoking property.
