Beautiful studio apartment just 100 meters from the swimming lake and right by the forest—perfect for hiking, cycling, mountain biking, and relaxation.
The newly renovated, tastefully furnished studio with kitchenette and dining area is on the first floor and features a balcony. The accommodation is in a very quiet part of Schöntal, directly at the forest and only 150 meters from the Schöntal bathing pond.
Schöntal has no through traffic, and the whole village has a 30 km/h speed limit. This apartment is the ideal starting point for long hikes and trekking tours through the untouched German-French biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest/Northern Vosges, or for trips to the many castle ruins and impressive rock formations in the area.
Relax at one of the many bathing ponds in Ludwigswinkel, enjoy great mountain bike tours, or take leisurely bike rides with hardly any inclines through the Sauerbach valley to Wissembourg in Alsace.
We are happy to share tips for your excursions. A visit to the barefoot park, mini golf, small park, and excellent restaurants is also worthwhile. Guests have free use of one ladies’ and one men’s touring bike.
Touring and mountain e-bikes are available for an additional charge.
Dog trailers are provided free of charge. Ludwigswinkel, a recognized spa town, is the perfect holiday spot for those seeking relaxation, variety, nature, sports, and peace.
You can easily spend your entire holiday here without a car. A gas station is 3 km away in the neighboring village.
You’ll find a variety of excellent restaurants in Ludwigswinkel and the surrounding communities. We offer a free bread roll delivery service from Monday to Saturday.

Das Apartment war sehr ruhig, trotz vieler Wohnungen im Haus, lag direkt am Wald. Zum See nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß. Es war gut ausgestattet, auch für Selbstversorger. Ich habe selten so eine saubere Ferienwohnung erlebt. Martin und Kathrin waren perfekte Gastgeber, immer ein nettes Gespräch immer...
Es war alles in Ordnung. Ich fühlte mich bestens aufgehoben.
