On-site sheep grazing and wool processing, with wool products and yarn for sale. The Wool Workshop offers a studio-boutique where you can discover the different stages of wool processing, from raw fleece to finished yarn. Located near La Bourboule and Mont Dore, at the foot of Banne d'Ordanche, between the Massif du Sancy and the Chaîne des Puys, the gîte provides panoramic views of the region.
During your walks, you can admire varied landscapes: volcanoes, ancient glacial valleys, plateaus, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. The area is rich in castles (Cordès, Murol), Romanesque churches (Orcival, Saint-Nectaire), spa towns (La Bourboule, Le Mont Dore, Saint-Nectaire), and museums (La Toinette Museum, Rural School Museum). Discover Auvergne gastronomy with local producers. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy numerous marked trails for mountain biking, horseback riding, or hiking.

3ème année que nous venons au Gîte de la Poucinière !
Le gîte se trouve au cœur d'un site magnifique et paisible, idéal pour passer des vacances en toute tranquillité. Le logement est fidèle à la description : Très fonctionnel, grand, convient à des gros groupes (Nous étions 13). Une télévision pourrait être un plus.
Les hôtes réactifs et très accueillants, merci encore pour le séjour.

Claudine et Pierre ont un très beau gîte. Il est spacieux, bien équipé, propre. Nous avons un week-end entre amis et nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

nous avons séjourné avec toute ma famille 13 personnes dont 6 enfants - des chambres très bien aménagées - 3 salles de bains - des propriétaires charmants et pas du tout invasives - la région offre de nombreuse possibilité pour visiter des tas de choses - vraiment si vous voulez être dans la nature dans le calme je vous recommande ce gîte -
