The Reetdachhaus Bischoff is an exclusive country house dating back to 1620—one of the oldest homes in the region—located by the North Sea, where tradition, comfort, and culinary enjoyment meet.
This lovingly maintained property is available for your exclusive use on a 3,000 m² plot.
Families with children will appreciate the spacious private garden—perfect for playing, exploring, and relaxing.
Barbecuing and making fires are expressly welcome—enjoy warm evenings outdoors. A special highlight is our carefully curated selection of Italian wines, personally imported by the host—a unique offering for guests who appreciate wine culture.
This is complemented by handpicked regional artisan products that add to the house’s special charm. The thatched cottage combines historic character with modern comfort: fiber-optic Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, and high-quality furnishings create a welcoming atmosphere.
In the kitchen, you will also find a wide assortment of spices, Italian pasta and sauces, and premium oils, all available for your use—so you can enjoy culinary delights right at home.
The immediate proximity to the North Sea offers opportunities for beach walks and mudflat hikes, and the Kudensee nature reserve is within walking distance. As a centuries-old thatched house, the property features characteristic quirks such as slanted walls, low doors, and a steep, historic staircase.

Es gab viel zu entdecken und zu bestaunen. Das Haus und der Garten sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet worden. Wir hatten zu siebt ausreichend Platz und es gab nichts was wir vermisst hätten!

Grandios fanden wir die vielen verwinkelten, versteckten Zimmer, eingerichtet mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Überraschend war vor allem die Werkstatt/Toilette. Man wusste nie was sich hinter der nächsten Tür befindet.
Außerdem verbrachten wir viel Zeit bei den Kälbern im Kuhstall nebenan, Bauer Thomas hatte nichts dagegen. Toll für kleine (und große) Kinder!
Dass wir nach 3 Tagen wieder abreisen mussten.
