This typical 17th-century Périgourdine detached house stands on the edge of a listed village. During restoration work in 2020, the authentic charm of Périgourdine houses was preserved, along with a high level of comfort. The view from the house extends over the surrounding countryside with the castle, fields and cows.
The detached holiday home has 95m² of living space for 4 people. It comprises a large living room with an open-plan kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 shower room, 1 toilet and a large outdoor area. Bed linen and towels are included. The living room with its sofas and dining table is grouped around the traditional old fireplace, with a wood-burning stove. You can spend cosy evenings here, with WIFI, radio and DVD player. The kitchen has a ceramic hob, extractor hood, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and all the necessary utensils. The rental has a television with internet box giving access to a range of channels, including French and foreign channels: general interest France TV, Arte .... . On the other side of the house are the bedrooms. The first bedroom has two single beds (90 x 200cm), a wardrobe and two chairs. The second bedroom has a floral wardrobe, two chairs and two single beds (90 x 190cm). The mattresses are of a new standard. There is also a large shower and washbasin, and a separate WC.
The holiday home has a large fenced garden of 700m², a games room with table tennis and table football, and pets are welcome. The open barn has garden furniture and a barbecue for summer meals.
At the foot of the local chateau is a lake, with a shady lawn inviting you to dine in summer. Around the village and in the surrounding area there are numerous hiking and cycling trails. The location in the Dordogne valley makes it an ideal base from which to explore the Périgord region with its sights, many of which are less than 25km away. On your return from your travels, you can enjoy the peace and comfort of the house and indulge in the nearby restaurants with their regional specialities and wines. The "Les Marronniers" restaurant offers value-for-money menus at lunchtime and in the evenings. In the neighbouring village 3km away there are two grocery shops, two bakeries, livestock, newspapers, fruit and vegetables. You can also buy bread, meat from local producers and locally-prepared dishes.
Numerous VOIE VERTE VELO hiking trails from the village and neighbouring towns. Marked circuits from Bergerac to Mauzac along the Dordogne almost car-free (electric bikes can be hired in Lalinde). Local shops 3.5 kilometres away (2 bakeries, 1 supermarket, 1 bar, 1 chemist, 2 restaurants, 1 local producers' shop, 1 florist, 1 garage and 2 second-hand shops).
